Centre for Anthropological Research

About CAR

The Centre specialises in applied anthropological research in a range of fields, much of it related to Indigenous Australian issues, especially to land-related projects such as native title research, cultural heritage surveys and natural resource development negotiations.  The Centre also develops and delivers training programmes for government agencies and industry groups.A second growing area of applied research activities is migration studies. Projects focused on medical anthropology and overseas development will be carried out as opportunities arise.
